Life By You is the perfect Sims 5 competitor
Paradox Tectonic and former head of The Sims, Rod Humble, have teamed up to create Life By You, a new simulation game. The developers plan to reveal more details about the game in an upcoming announcement show featuring Humble on March 20. While Life By You has the potential to become a major competitor to The Sims franchise, little information has been released thus far, and fans will have to wait for more updates about the game.
In a 2020 interview with PCGamesN, Rod Humble from Paradox Tectonic discussed the philosophy behind their game development. He explained that their games aim to respect the intelligence of the audience and embrace mods, which may sound intimidating but actually promote creativity and openness. This philosophy is reflected in their upcoming game, Life By You, and is a guiding principle for all projects at Tectonic.
According to Humble, the team’s goal from day one has been to create a game with rich gameplay. While waiting for more updates on Life By You, PC gamers can explore the top life simulation games currently available on the market.
My first thought was ‘they’re going for the jugular’ by basically supplanting Maxis completely and utterly. If they keep DLC’s to Paradox level rather than EA level i can totally see it being a serious competitor.
